We’ve just finished running a new dyed batch of curly maple and maple burl with blue dye and the results are incredible.
We have about 30 sets of the stabilized blue maple burl available right now. They’re perfect for knife scales or pistol grips.

Well after several months of research and setup, we’ve got our wood stabilizing up and running. On Thursday, the senior chemical engineer of one of the worlds largest acrylic manufacturers flew into town to be here for our first run. It was a really great day. Our formula was tested and produced a high quality product.
All of our stabilized wood is pictured natural….so what you see, is what you get :-) Our knife scales and pistol grips are machined flat and sanded to 180 grit.

Over the past few months, Mike and I have been busy setting up a unique system for stabilizing wood with acrylic resin. This is a very exciting addition to our business Vedder Mountain Hardwoods.
